I have started listening to “The Pursuit of God” by A.W. Tozer on audiobook. It has been shot in the arm I have needed.
I have been looking for a “perfect” system of belief. It does not exist. God will not fit nicely into a denominational or doctrinal or dogmatic box.
True freedom and rest comes when I keep my eyes on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of my faith, and not become bound worldly distractions or ecclesiastical bureaucracy.
No soul can be really at rest until it has given up all dependence on everything else and has been forced to depend on the Lord alone. As long as our expectation is from other things, nothing but disappointment awaits us. - Hannah Whitall Smith
The Holy Spirit and the scripture must be the arbiter of truth as we navigate the the world. A Christian is on a NARROW path. God has defined the path for us and it is in our best interest to trust and obey.
I feel the fog is finally lifting a bit. I have nothing to prove.
My hope and satisfaction has to come from God.
I am made for God’s pleasure, not my own. He has a purpose and plan for me.
The question is not what you think of Christianity but what you think of Christ and what you are going to do about Him.
Jesus carried his cross to show me how I should carry mine.
The Christian life is a roller-coaster between excruciating pain and euphoric joy.
I started making videos again. http://www.youtube.com/user/WeAreMorgan
